In Typical Mahanese Fashion
I'd never - not at any point in the approximate past 18 years - noticed how far off the ground the bus step was. Until today.
I wasn't looking down because I knew it was only one step, and so as normal human behaviour would have me do, I took a step down. And quickly realised that the ground was way farther away from my foot than I had anticipated.
Rather than taking it like a woman who possesses any semblance of grace, I opted to instead attempt to reach the ground faster. This logic made me defy gravity and fly out of the bus at an alarmingly rapid rate. My arms were flailing, too.
But at least I didn't fall.
Will the insanity ever stop?

you and this whole walking phenomenon go together about as well as David Hasselhoff and puppies
Maha, you're such a tool. I hope you don't wear high heels. You'd crack your skull open!
M, is that calendar for real? The fucking pictures from October and December are freaking me out.
thanks, lol.

the important thing is you didn't fall. Those are harder to cover up. If you added a little flourish of the hands it could have been an interpretive dance number. Very Martha G, word.
Meesha -- That calendar is awesomely freaky. David Hasslehoff is a freakaloo.
WHAT ARE WE TO DO?
MICHELLE CAN YOU SEE ME?
Maria -- Weird thing is, I'm always in high heels...and do my tripping when am in flats (what is UP with that?). This story, I was wearing little golden slippers. Very pretty. Not functional. Pretty.
Mo -- I was listening to my iShuffle and so YES it could very well have been interpreted by everyone on the bus as interpretive dance. To what's in my head. As long as no one thought I was making 'jazz hands', I'm ok.
And of course everyone on the bus was looking at me. The world revolves around me. Even when I'm blogging.
:)
Notice: We're all M girls (Michelle, Maria, Mo, Maha). Weird.

did u do teh spirit fingers while you were tripping? Cuz that is alweays way cool, seeing someone falter their step while being so cheery you know. takes a bit of teh zing out of falling if people's spirits are uplifted cuz of you.
oh by the way, there's a futbol post on my own blog now. :)
Don't feel bad, sweetie, I can't tell you how many times a week I actually fall, with the windmill arms, jazz hands and everything; I've slipped, careened, flown, maelstrommed and fallen flat on my ass enough to entertain entire countries. LOL!
Just glad you weren't hurt. XOXOX
Uzi No spirit fingers that I can recall, but I know I was smiling like some sort of retard. I can never contain myself and always laugh out loud at my unbalanced walking and tripping.
Will check out your blog for the futbol picks!!
Espeeeeeeeeeee, how nice to see you again! It's so great to know I'm not the only Walk Challenged out there ;)
Happy you've not been hurt, either!
