Music To Download
I’ve noticed that it’s been some time since I gave you a few recommendations and so today you’ll get four. They’re all political. They’re all rap. The last one’s as hardcore as they come and I recommend you sample it before buying.
.1. “The Point of No Return” by Immortal Technique
.2. “Harlem Streets” by Immortal Technique
.3. “Field N*gga Boogie (XLR8R Remix)” by Public Enemy & Immortal Technique
.4. “Blackout Special” by Scram Jones & Immortal Technique
…you see the trend…
Rock introduced me to Immortal Technique.

Maybe you will find our recent CD release, "Homeless In America: Twenty-One Songs of Social Conscience for the 21st Century" of some interest. With two anti-war songs and one entitled "U.S. Steal", it pretty-much addresses all things progressively political.

;)
Fefe, darlin' -- That's actually not spam but rather a bona fide reference :)
Hi Richard -- Thanks for the recommendation. I listened to a couple of the audio sample on your Profile >> it reminded me of the music in "O Brother Where Art Thou" (or: "Oh, Brother! Where Are 'Ya?" as one of my good friends calls is).
I have to admit that I've never considered music of this genre to be my kind of politics; but, a many of its roots rests in extreme poverty (& I see you've got references to music from the slave trade...), I'm obviously wrong.
Thanks for the link >> and I'll recommend to others to check it out (apart from the music, please pay attention to Richard's blog entry "Iran, Next Target Among Many").
bye,
m
