Crack

In Gerry Butler Would Have Done Well to Carry Elastoplast(s) In His Purse, I made mention of how I recently purchased three pairs of shoes simultaneously. I promised to post the photos and so here they are. Shoes to me are like crack to Whitney Houston. I hope your high is equivalent to my own.

Crack hit no 1: The Glitter Flat Crack
LOOK AT HOW THEY GLITTER! I can't stop staring at my feet when I'm in these shoes. I keep swirling and twirling my feet around because the glitter catches the light and GLITTERS EVEN HARDER. It's exciting, a little nauseating and may be cause for seizures, but unshaken, I continue to force others to stare at my shoes and "see how they glitter".

Glitter crack 2

A bigger hit of Glitter Crack can be found here.

Crack hit no 2: Stiletto Crack Cocaine
They're nearly 5" high. I don't think I need to say anything else. Arguably, in these babies, I don't think I need to wear much of anything else, either.

Gold Stiletto Crack 1

Gold Stiletto Crack 2

Gold Stiletto Crack 3

Crack cocaine to fill your screen.

Crack hit no 3: Not Really a Wedge Heel Crack Wedge
I've been known to have violent reactions to the wedge heel. The gem of a crack hit pictured below is clever because the wedge heel is so thin, I can deny that it's a wedge heel. Not really, but this is my blog and I can be as ignorant creative as I want.

ohmyGOD! 5" stilettos? I am falling over ON YOUR BEHALF.

More power to you lady - I could never pull that off. I have to pull sexiness from other aspects, could never pull off the stiletto look.

Sexy Anjum - Oddly enough, it's when I'm NOT in heels that I tend to do most of my tumbling and falling over. Someone should really do some kind of a study on me. Gerry Butler comes to mind ;)

Meesha - "Stars take crack. They're just like us!" Whitney is a sad sad sad sad sad SAD individual. And her husband's a reject.

Cute "repair kit", but you know what? I purchased duplicates of these golden ones and thought I would eventually purchase spray adhesive & red glitter and make my own red glitter flat cracks...but I've not gotten around to it yet. Will let you know if I do ever manage it!

I'm envious that you can actually walk in those. Alas, I walk like a drag queen when I wear heels.
Also I thought I was the only one singing the praise of wedge heels. I still need to keep those under 2" but I don't get stuck in road vents and I walk less like a drag queen in wedgies.
Preddy sparkly shoes! Me want!

Anjum -- Go for it! Change your title. How fun!

Lisa, That's hilarious about the 'walking like a drag queen' bit. Heh. What a great visual....that and balloons tied to your ears ;)

To onefemalecannuck:
I read a post earlier on a site I stumbled upon called uruknet.info. It was written by a female Canadien of Palestinien descent. Is this you? You mentioned drinking too much coffee and how dumb American s are. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your piece. Sad but with a nice spirit in there. FYI, I'm from an American father who works in Mid-East in oil businesss and Egyptian mother. My mother was of Greeck descent, from Alexandria on the Med. I was born and raised in Egypt. I'm writting from Texas. You are right- the average American isn't even aware how blissfully unaware he/she is. Kind of sad...
Anyhow, keep up the good work and keep your head down.
Best wishes.

hi Cairo American College Guy,

That definitely sounds like me :)
Only I wouldn't have generalised that all Americans are dumb, but that many of them are unaware...and they are the ones who make the news, unfortunately.

I have to say that I believe strongly in the power of the American people who are aware of what is happening in the world today, at the discretion of their Government...I think the power to change comes from them, because for the most part - and this is not a generalisation - they have a strong contemporary history in human rights. Much good has come from the US; I look forward to the day they choose to return to that, inshallah :O)

So you sound like you have an interesting mix!! And residing in Texas, kamman. How lovely > Austin is a beautiful place to live, notwithstanding the psychotic summer heat :)

I'm happy you've found me again; please come back and comment whenever you can!!

salamat,
maha
