We're Live! Update your links & bookmarks, please
John. John. John.
48 hours ago, I didn't know John. We "met" (virtually) and he has since been the one responsible for building this new place and ensuring that everything run smoothly.
He won't let me pay him and has labeled this a learning experience, a challenge that he's enjoyed (a lie this addition: "immensely", heh). My emails to him may not have been as enjoyable, and perhaps a little incoherent because, honestly, I don't know what I'm talking about when discussing technology. At one point, he very diplomatically sent me a photo of a bunny with a pancake on its head. The caption read: I have no idea what you're talking about...so here's a bunny with a pancake on its head.
So, all I can do is ask all of you to please buy an air conditioner from John.
Look. If you can’t buy that air conditioner, then please:
.1. Bookmark his site and send it to your friends (it's summer and the ideal time to purchase such an item); and then,
.2. Help me thank John for his amazing work and kindness (leave your comments...in the comments section).
John gets 25 gold stars. No one'll top him in that respect at this blog because if it weren't for John at this point, none of us would be here and neither would your comments, kittys.
Later this evening, I will finally write about the damn Gerry Butler saga.
UPDATE YOUR BOOKMARKS! (pretty please)
& p.s. For those of you who were previously linked to from my front page, you're still here, only I was told the less links on my front page, the better. So, click on 'Interesting Places' in my right column and locate yourselves...

My new home is up and running but there are still a few things that need tweeking.
And the no of comments isn't showing up any more! Weird, eh...
Bookmark this new page, Ella. Don't worry about the older one :) This is the place to be from now on.
Yay!

Oops, someone spilled a beer on the server!! You have put in a bit of code on this site that should only be uploaded to your blogspot site.
the meta refresh line.
So when visiting the site the page refreshes constantantly.
The good news is that when you check your stats you'll see a million page views! as each one will register.
You'll have to change the publishing setting to publish back at blogspot. Do that. Then pull the line out of your code. And them publish back at your new home again. That will make all of your old pages point back here, and new pages won't refresh.
Good luck.
John
hey John!!
I tried to do what you said.
I deleted that meta tag thing you mention (meta
http-equiv="refresh"content="0;URL=http://www.onefemalecanuck.com/" )
I had to remove the pointy parantheses before and after the tag cus it's not allowing me to post my comment with them there!
from the header portion of my template.
Then I tried to repulbish my site BACK at blogspot.com
but it wouldn`t let me
And so I had no choice but to repopulate all of the information and make it an FTP feed again!
Comments are still not showing up and there`s no redirect to this site. Weird -- what am I supposed to do?
thank you!

Congrats, it looks like it works!

Thanks JLH! I hardly did a THING!
ALL of this fixing was done by John >> and he's still actually working on it because if you come to this link directly via http://www.onefemalecanuck.com then the page loads normally.
BUT, and at the moment, when you go to my old addy and get redirected to this place, this place starts freaking out (it keeps reloading every second!).
So I think I have found an angel in John as he is "enjoying the challenge" of fixing this up...
He's going to get a special blog entry on this thing once this is all over and I can post like a normal human being.
Updates, kitty kats >> John is still making his way through the logarithm and I'm getting the hang of it. I do believe I was able to solve (theoretically, anyway) a part of the problem that JOHN (not me) is currently tackling.
PLEASE update your bookmarks and DO NOT go to my old place.
I will send out an email once all's been fixed.
xoxoxo

p.s. It's so exciting it's like the amazing race without any of the danger. Or the work. I'm sitting down and watching John be brilliant.
All right, all worked out, archives work, old site redirects, yada yada.
Let me know if there are any more probs the creep up.

JLH is my personal blogger name(nothing to see there yet)
ok this is bizarre.
the onefemalecanuck.blogspot.com redirects to onefemalecanuck.com
but now...onefemalecanuck.com is back to the godaddy page that says it's coming soon.
And the temporary page is where I am at the moment (inmotionhosting.com gave me a temp url where I could see my page >> and all looks good here!). Is it that DNS thing again that earned you a most excellent gold star?
:)

No prob. it was fun, plus this is an interesting place, it needed a permanent and serious home.
