“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.”

Along the same lines, there are two quotes for Martin Luther King:
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” and the other goes along the lines that..
In the end, it is not the words of our enemies that we will remember rather the silence of our friends.
This is also reflected in Islamic teachings where there is a famous saying from the Prophet that if you see some injustice happening, try to stop it by your actions, if you cannot, then by words (to encourage others to stop it) and if you cannot even do that, then make sure you denounce it in your heart (so you never get used to it and accept it as “mormal”).
Thanks for the quote Maha and for Malcom X quotes.. they are reminders of what we need to never forget!

Silence is of course a form of complicity. Excellent quote.
