Nothing can ever happen twice.
In consequence, the sorry fact is
that we arrive here improvised
and leave without the chance to practice.
- Wislawa Szymborska, ‘Nothing Twice’ in view with a grain of sand.

I love anonymous’s interpretation
because it’s perfect and simple.
I remember you mentioned this woman before, Maha? She’s a poet?

This is a little sad but really true at the end of the day. We’re only ever meant to only get one chance.

Colleen – She is a poet, and she was introduced to me by my dear friend Shawn.
Lily – Welcome! I see you’re commenting regularly! That’s really nice – you’ll find that we’re all very likeable and easy to get along with here
…and yes, this wee bit of poetry is sad and true. Even when it’s a ‘second chance’, it’s always a different world and never the same as the first time. It doesn’t mean, though, that it can’t be better
– so keep your hearts filled with hope.
