PS: my word verification is 'susinate' which sounds like some kinda texan or midwestern vocabulary word. haha

Never been to Austin, but seem like it's full of great folk. Recently found your blog and really enjoying it. From London, living in Montreal. You're a right lovely girl.

I have to agree with Yasmine that these posts about Austin are such feel-good ones to read. I love that you had such an amazing time and there was what you needed when you didn't even know you needed it! I love it when that happens!!!! Sorry you ran into "chocolate covered in bitterness" people. They suck!!

Hugs,
Maria
P.S. my word verification is FLIMfeu

I'm glad the South has given you such a good impression of itself. Texas seems to have really been nice for you--I hope you can find more people who are healthy for the soul to be around back at home too.

P.S, we use all of those words around here too (except I've never heard of the Devil's Vinegar).
And do they say "I'm'an'a" (pronounced like "eye-mah-nah" really quickly for "I'm going to" in Austin?
And also,

Austin really left an impression on you. I know that you've been to other places for longer but they never had the same effect so this is rpetty sweet.

I had no idea that you needed your faith in people restored. That sucks, Maha. Why aren't you writing about it - you've always said that it helps you so much when you write things out. I'm happy that you're restored.

I'm having a glass of wine and getting caught up on you. It's sort of the perfect Sunday! -lily

"Blogging right quick" works! :)

Yasminah - it did, and I'm happy it's made you smile (but not cry)!! Klassy...that word is courtesy of Baby Jane!

Isn't there an expression "to suss someone out"?

Hi Michael and thank you!

Maria - FLIMfeu is awesome. Sounds French.

Clay - I didn't hear eye-mah-nah, but that sounds like imanah (Arabic), which is funny. The South...there's something good to be said about tradition (with a conscience) and a lot of Austinites have that.

As for "Devil's Vinegar" - that, I believe, is an AustinLisa-ism!

Thank you, Lily - I have been writing about it, just keeping it personal rather than in the blog-o-sphere :)
