Have just returned from a rather perfect getaway from life; spent the past few days away at a cabin in the middle of the woods and on the edge of a gorgeous lake.
The weather was ideal as it wasn’t too hot (so ‘no’ to mosquitoes, please); lulled to sleep by crashing waves and awakened by the chatter of rain through leaves.
We spent the time cooking extravagant meals, reading in a hammock and watching late-night horror films.

Maha, the pics are beautiful. I love the one of you on the deck. The video is amazing also because the sound is so clear.
Reading this entry I can completely feel that you’ve been replenished and rejuvenated! So happy to read this and even though I really appreciate all of the political links, I do hope you start blogging some more stories soon.

Maria – First half of August, inshallah. Also, we shall most def one day have coffee together…it is meant to be 
Chris – YES! It was so much fun today! I love laughing with you, too…thank you for your amazing and kind words.
Mozer – Of the wee group there, you would know Aalya, Dietrich & Baby!
Thomas – I am entirely replenished. I unplugged completely. The berry was off and away the entire time and it was really freeing. I just loved it, and am about to do it again this coming weekend, though for only two days.
I promise to blog some more stories, soon. I’ve been so completely caught up with so much travel this summer and visits that I’ve not had a moment to write here…I will soon, though.
