The Roots

This was my lunch date today. We really were far more excited than we appear to be.

I am a sucker for little kids in glasses.

We spent the day in Bizerte, where we ate fresh grilled fish and I finally had my crème caramel. In Binzart, there is a monument to Sissina’s martyred grandfather, Commandant Mohamed Bijaoui. He died on the 21st of July, 1961 in the Battle of Bizerte against the French occupation.

It was a day, then and now.

Today, I am grateful for:
1. Excellent parenting. From good parenting comes good addab, and there is nothing which propels an adult more forward than such roots.
2. Cheese and excellent crackers. Also, more cheese. Because cheese.
3. Waking up this morning. Thank you for another day ❤
