The Hella Day

Day to night. I can’t believe I’ve never taken photos of this style before, considering how insane I am over shoes.

I woke up at 7.30 like a woman after a night at Studio 54 – my hair was a disco kink of curls, and I had no idea where I was or whose bed I was waking up in.

I was home. It was my bed.

Which was the signal I needed to confirm that nope, I am good to no longer travel anymore before the end of The Sabbatical. I am home for good and glad for it.

I had an absolutely great day. Like a proper AMAZING day for no good reason. Errands completed. Started following-up and planning dates for the coming weeks with all friends I have been ignoring since French studies began (SORRY! I LOVE YOU! THANK YOU FOR BEING OKAY WITH ME!); all outstanding matters managed and checked off my list. I even made it to my favourite store – The Papery , where Hannah was once more nowhere to be found. I am now convinced she may be a figment of my imagination. I made a new friend while there – SEAN who told me all about his 70 year old friend who just got a new boyfriend. I am so excited for this woman and her new guy. #SoonToBeStoryOfMyLife

Also today? I began making my agenda for December 1st, 2019, found yards full of leaves through which I ran after staring at the house long enough to make sure no one was home (wow. I am creepy), had a coffee and short catch-up with someone who laughs easily, dinner with Baba, and then a thing out.

My heart is full, even though I had to swim from place to place because of the rains.

Today, I am grateful for:
1. Just life. All of it.
2. Dreaming that I had two fellas in my life. It was great. I am a hooker. 💃 or 🤷🏻‍♀️? You decide.
3. Making Baba laugh. He always seems so surprised that I am funny, and I love that he discovers this over and over again every time we hang out.
